Casse Kihúut Alaniz is a queer indigenous/mexicana artist and filmmaker, who grew up in McAllen, Texas.
She is payómkawish from the Pechanga Band of Indians. She aims to dismantle racist representations of indigenous peoples within media and decolonize the process the filmmaking. (i.e. native protocols contract)
Her work revolves around the many complexities of identity and explorations of sexuality.
She currently works freelance as an editor, camera assistant, and cinematographer currently based out of Temecula, California.
She is open for work and passport ready for travel.
